I recently turned 54, and I know it is very important to do all I can to get myself into a healthy lifestyle. I don't want to be one of those people who completely let themselves go and then die an early death due to obesity, heart disease, or something similar. Changes NOW will also help me look and feel younger, which can't hurt (wink, wink)! Starting out with small changes will result in big benefits down the road...help me along my journey, and I will be there to help you!
Also, I'm hoping 2014 will be my year. By that, I mean my year to get myself where I want to be. I want to be able to buy petite clothes, not petite PLUS! In summer I can never find anything but capris, and believe me, they are not made for short fat people! I hope to lose enough to at least look presentable in capris!
I just need the motivation to get started and lose enough weight to be healthy. I would like to be able to wear shorts this summer! I'd like to be healthier for my fifties than I have been in my 40's!
I plan to make small changes in eating habits, and set reasonable goals. I plan to move more, and eat less! Ordered a pilates and yoga dvd!
Just reached 50! Woo-Hoo! Now more than ever, I need to lose weight to look better, feel better, and get more self-confidence!
Favorite movies: "Trip to Bountiful", "Rudy", "Sense and Sensibility". Love all music, especially R & B. Also Fleetwood Mac, Rob Thomas, Prince, and I could go on and on. I really love more music than I can name! Favorite tv shows: Frazier, Monk, Desperate Housewives, Medium, Young & Restless. Love old game shows, Food Network, any old tv sitcoms (Andy Griffith Show especially) and crime dramas.
If I could pick one country in the world to visit, it would be England. My favorite author is James Herriot, and that may be why I love all things British! I don't know if that's it or not, but for some reason I am fascinated with England and it is my dream to some day visit there.
