Back AGAIN......

Hi my name is Erica. I lost a lot of weight on sparkpeople before, then fell into a deep depression after getting into a horrible relationship. This is my 4th time dropping a significant amount of weight. At 19 I was 185 and lost a total of 70 lbs. Gained it back plus more when I was 21 and reached 190. Lost 78 lbs at age 23. Hi my name is Erica. I lost a lot of weight on sparkpeople before, then fell into a deep depression after getting into a horrible relationship. This is my 4th time dropping a significant amount of weight. At 19 I was 185 and lost a total of 70 lbs. Gained it back plus more when I was 21 and reached 190. Lost 78 lbs at age 23. Gained it back plus more at 25. Reached 235. Lost a few lbs and went down to 175 by the time I turned 27. Now at 27....about to turn 28 my body is exhausted. I'm 200 and my weight loss is slower than ever. I'm aiming to become a group exercise instructor again for Zumba and Turbo Kick and finally finish the personal trainer exam (I attempted it once when I was 23 and failed lol) My advice to anyone that has similar stories is to just go slow with weight loss. Picture 2 lbs of fat, not just 2 lbs, print out a picture of what it looks like and when you lose something as small as just 5 lbs of fat, it makes a HUGE difference. trust me. Also, your body composition changes over time so if you lost 50 lbs quicker 3 years ago versus now, don't get discouraged. In one year if you only lose 30 lbs, that's better than keeping the 30 lbs of fat on you. Another thing that has motivated me is seeing different exercise instructors teach classes. I had an instructor that was overweight and I could barely keep up with him. He was healthy and in shape! So don't worry, everyone's weight loss is different, it doesn't mean you can't run that marathon, or play tennis again, or play with your kids. Keep at it. If I only get down to a size 13, but feel good and am healthy and fit....so be it :)
