    Thank you for the post :) I do think its way awesome how this site works and everyone offering advise. I love your quote on ur post "i'm so done being the fat girl" thats me too. And its inspiring to see how much weight you lost. I am in it for the long haul so if its slowly that it comes off thats better isnt it?

    Are you competitive by nature? One of my daily goals is to hit 100 SparkPoints. When I do that, I've not only read articles, I've interacted with other members by reading and commenting on their blogs and writing my own blog. 100 points gets me here and gets me active each and every day.

    When I started, I made the commitment to workout daily and write a blog about it. On days when I don't feel like doing it, I think about the blog I need to write and I certainly do NOT want to write that I was lazy and did not work out.

    Maintain your goals on your SparkPage (that's what all the goal-setting gurus write about) and make the goals public on your page. Write about it on your blog every day.

    Weight loss = calorie maintenance, cardio, and strength. Calorie maintenance is every day, cardio is at least five days per week, and strength is 3 to 4 days per week. I believe you need all three for a successful weight loss and fitness program.

    Above all, be consistent. Doing something toward you goal every day will pay big rewards over the next few months or a year. You can do this!

    Hi Brooke! Welcome to SparkPeople!! This is a wonderful site with so many resources like articles, trackers, and community SparkTeams to help give you support and keep you motivated. See how many SparkPoints you can get each day and this will help you find and use many of the tools of the site. Make sure you make a SparkPage as this is how you can have people post to you to help inspire you! Please remember this is a marathon, not a sprint. It is not a diet, but a lifestyle change. I am down 60 lbs with SparkPeople and I feel so much lighter and stronger and healthier every day! You can do it! Best of luck on your journey to a healthier lifestyle!

    So when you say you're falling behind in the nutrition areas, do you mean you're low on the calories, fat, carbs? Try to get your low end of the range at least, or at least 1200 minimum calories to keep from going into starvation mode. It may be higher than 1200 depending on your size. I'd ask that in the food/nutrition message board to get more info. Check on Spark Recipes for great recipes, but not sure they have them by type of nutrient. Good luck!
