I've always been athletic and active, but have always had extra weight hanging around because I also love to eat! My friends and I call it having a "layer of fun" i.e. "I have a six pack, but it's just covered with a layer of fun." I'm ready to finally have fun in a new way!

On a personal note, I love to have fun. I love my friends. Taking joy in life's little ironies and jokes is one of my favorite things. Basically, I love life and all that it entails.

Also, I have a couple of friendly contest/competitions going on:

The first is with a group of my friends and we are calling it:"I'll bring the six pack, you bring the keg". It is so named because of our status as college students. We are going to keep each other accountable and encourage each other.

The second is with my family. We are setting up a family biggest loser because we all want to drop a few pounds and get healthier. It was all started when one of us mentioned that she wanted to lose 60 pounds by her high school reunion is August. We are up to having 7 participants and are going to have everyone throw in 20 dollars into a pot (winner takes all). While it is nice to have support and encouragement (like in the contest I am having with my friends mentioned above), it will be great to have some actual competition.

- Run a marathon
- Run a sub 2:00:00 half marathon
- Run a sub 25:00 5k
- Fit in to my goal jeans (size ten Lucky Brand Jeans)!
- Win my Family Biggest Loser




My Program:
1. Basketball 6 times a week
2. Running 2 - 4 times a week (half marathon training/maintenance)
3. Lifting 2 - 3 times a week
4. Stay between 1600 and 2000 calories
5. Yoga 2 times a week



Personal Information:
Just trying to be me, at my best. I don't want to have any regrets or any ifs. It's all or nothing and I'm finally going to beat this.

    Summer 2010 STL Spark People Rally!!!

    OK, so how's the MO Botanical Garden on July 17 at 9 a.m. sound? We could meet at the Visitor's Center and walk around for 2 hours-there's a 'Health Fair' going on the same day, too! If you're a resident of St. Louis County or St. Louis City, admission is FREE before noon-otherwise it's $8 for adults...the place opens at 9 a.m., so it wouldn't be quite as hot then, but we could do 10 as well...lots to do/see here & plenty of walking exercise & time to get to know fellow STL 'Sparkers'
