Esther Loves Her King (And Is Trying To Love Her Body Too!)

Thank you for landing here! You are more than welcome, and I hope we can take this journey together.

Thank you for landing here! You are more than welcome, and I hope we can take this journey together.

When diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes in my early 20s, I was thin and actually underweight. Once I started insulin and due to some difficult life circumstances while previously married, I gained weight. I am now 37, single as of last year, live an emotionally healthier life by the ocean, and have found tremendous success in my profession as a High School English Teacher, but the weight loss has alluded me, and I feel that carrying this weight hinders my total success in all other areas. The weight is a heavy burden emotionally as well as physically. I love life, and I want the passion that I feel for it to show through in my appearance as well!

The pictures included on this page are recent. The head shot is from August while the other two pictures are from this past December 2007. I am MORTIFIED by the picture with my dog. The picture in front of the door is actually more recent, but excuses are no good when trying to lose weight.

I want to hit life "head on" and not "butt dragging," so with lots of prayer, determination, positive self-talk, and encouragement, I want to hit my goals by the end of this year and definitely before turning 40 at the end of 2010.
