Hello, I'm Elizabeth, and I'm 24 years old. I have started this weight loss journey at 291 pounds, and someday I hope to get in the 150's range. I know this will take a lot of time and effort, but it will definitely be worth it!
I've been overweight for as long as I can remember. I remember being teased about my weight as early as kindergarten. Things just continued to get worse and I stopped taking care of myself. In 2008, I probably weighed around 300 pounds.
I started trying to lose weight at the beginning of 2009. I went to the doctor and the scale said 296. I was in shock, so I decided to do something about it. I was doing pretty dang good until summer rolled around. I had lost 35-40 pounds. Then I got engaged, and my eating habits went off to the wayside. Exercise got neglected, and I stopped caring because I got so stressed out.
I got married to my amazing husband on March 13, 2010, and now that my life is finally back together, I'm giving it another go. My goal is to ultimately be 150-165 depending on how muscular I get. If I get to 165 and I'm happy with my body at that point, then I hope to maintain that weight. I guess I don't have a particular number in my head, but being in the 100s sounds AMAZING!
So about me... I love reading, writing, cooking, gardening, and videogames. I am a huge nerd and I'm starting to be more comfortable with who I am as a person. I'm always looking to meet new people and try new things. I am by no means an extrovert, but I enjoy having people that I can speak to in an honest manner.

Current Challenge: Get to 275 by the end of October!
I started this journey at 291. Someday I would love to get in the 140-150 range. Most importantly, though, I want to feel good about myself, gain energy, and feel beautiful. For me, it's largely a mental thing. I am slowly gaining confidence as I move along and realize that I can do this!
My current plan is to go from 291 to 275 by the end of October. I am currently eating a high fat low carb diet. I make sure to drink at least 8 glasses of water a day. I have also started doing some exercises. I do a lot of walking and workout tapes.
I'm originally from the Flint area in Michigan. I married the love of my life on March 13, 2010. I love reading, writing, playing videogames, and anything cute, fuzzy, or kawaii. I love going on walks, too!
