For A Happier & Healthier Me

2007: I've consistently lost 10 pounds a year for the last 5 years. I've also gained the same 10 pounds and then some every year for the last 5 years. I HOPE HOPE HOPE this year will be different!

2008 Update: I lost 15 pounds in 2007! I love SparkPeople. I have a goal to lose another 15 this year, hopefully by my birthday in August.

2009 Update: I lost another 14 pounds in the first half of 2008, bringing me to a total weight loss of 29 pounds!!! However, I fell ...

2008 Update: I lost 15 pounds in 2007! I love SparkPeople. I have a goal to lose another 15 this year, hopefully by my birthday in August.

2009 Update: I lost another 14 pounds in the first half of 2008, bringing me to a total weight loss of 29 pounds!!! However, I fell off the wagon a little bit in the second half of 2008 and gained back 7 pounds by the end of the year. I'm still very happy with all that I accomplished in 2008...check out my milestones below! I maintained a very active lifestyle the entire year. It was just my eating that got off track in the second half. I've really lost interest in tracking on SparkPeople. It has just gotten too time consuming. So I have revised my goals and my program for 2009.

2010 Update: Apparently 2009 was a maintenance year for me and I am happy with that. My goal this year is to lose 5 pounds (get below 155) and stay there. I want to treat my body right and show it the appreciation it deserves.

2011 Update: I've really fallen off the wagon. Need to get back into a healthy lifestyle. The second half of my 20's were definitely healthier than the first half. I'm turning 30 this year and I hope to make my 30's even healthier than my 20's.

Milestones:
08/27/07: Started my Spark streak!
10/13/07: 10 Pounds Lost!
10/28/07: Participated in my first 5K.
11/27/07: Saw 150s on the scale for the first time in 6 years!
12/01/07: Made it on the board for the first time at a 5K.
01/07/08: Started the Couch-to-5K Program.
01/18/08: 20 Pounds Lost!
02/19/08: I'm "Healthy" According to the BMI Scale
02/20/08: 25 Pounds Lost!
03/09/08: Accomplished 3 Firsts in one 5K:
1. Ran the entire thing!
2. Finished in under 30 minutes (28:15)!
3. Placed 2nd in my age group!
04/28/08: Size 8, I don't remember ever being this size before.
06/21/08: Finished Marigold 10K in 1:08:26
July 2008: Appeared in public in a swimsuit.
08/16/08: Turned 27 years old, 27 pounds lighter!
10/19/08: TWO sub-30 5Ks in one weekend!
12/20/08: Ran an entire 8K! (50:03)
May 2010: My first Warrior Dash - so much fun to run and roll around in the mud!
Oct 2010: Ran the Athens GA Half Marathon, met my goal to have fun and cross the finish line smiling!
May 2011: Warrior Dash - 2nd time just as fun as the first!

My Goals:
To get back to 150s.

To be as fit as I can be. Aim for 2000 - 2500 calories burned a week. Aim for exercise 4 - 5 days a week.

Consume between 1500 and 1700 calories per day. I don't want to feel like I am on a "diet".

My Program:
I'm back on the Nutrition Tracker. I need to stay aware of what I'm putting in my body.
Getting better at cooking my own meals.

Trying to make the most of my gym membership. Attending 2-3 classes a week, include some strength training and having fun with fitness (hikes, bike riding, etc.).
