Realizing My Potential.
"If you deliberately plan on being less than you are capable of being, then I warn you that you’ll be unhappy for the rest of your life" - maslow I have successfully kept off 40+ pounds since my highest weight in college, through running, yoga, strength training and biking. This truly is a lifestyle. I desire to lose the last 20+ pounds, find muscles where I know they exist and run a half-marathon. My overall greatest health goal is to never hear a cancer diagnosis again! ...

This truly is a lifestyle. I desire to lose the last 20+ pounds, find muscles where I know they exist and run a half-marathon. My overall greatest health goal is to never hear a cancer diagnosis again! ************************* 2012 Accomplishments: - Went through third round of radioactive treatment for thyroid cancer (CLEAR bloodwork!) - Turned 29 - Got ENGAGED!!! - Completed my first year of my master's degree while earning a 3.83 GPA - Completed a 5 mile race for the American Cancer Society and raised over 1000$! (Time: 1:10:49) 2011 Accomplishments: - Faced thyroid cancer with a positive attitude - Celebrated 1 year with my guy! - Turned 28! - Went through radioactive iodine diet/treatment first round - Went to yoga retreat at Kripalu Yoga Center (amazing!) - Was accepted and will begin graduate school - Went through radioactive treatments (second round) - Received CLEAR bloodwork and ultrasounds! Doctors are very happy with my progress :) - Began my master's degree program. 2010 Accomplishments: - "Met" and started dating a fabulous dude ;) - Turned 27! - Got accepted to two top graduate schools - Ran in 6th 5K on 3/21/10 - Completed a Spring Cleanse 6 week yoga program in April/May - Signed up for early morning yoga in June! - Started working as a seva student at the yoga studio in exchange for 2 classes a week! - Been through countless doctor's appointment to figure out what's wrong with my back (when you go to that many appointments in the year, I consider that a major accomplishment - Recognized that I'm a positive thinker - Committed to 3 yoga classes per week - Diagnosed with thyroid cancer and had thyroidectomy on 11/17 - Finished Tools for Transformation program at yoga studio - Got into the 170's!! First time EVER in memory. 2009 Accomplishments: - Completed 30 Day Shred 3/30 - Ran 7 miles 4/30 - Ran 1st trail 5K! (40:30) - Completed 3rd 5K (COX 5K) - Completed 4th 5K and 1st trail race! - Started morning exercise habit prior to work day - Rejoined gym! - Celebrated my 26th birthday - Started my third academic year at my job - Joined the Warriors! - Started my Big Girl Eats blog! - Ran my 5th 5K and my 5K year anniversary - Ran my 1st 10K!! October 13, 2009!

My Goals:
7/1/12-7/1/13: Lose 2-3 dress sizes (size 14 to size 8-10). Get to a healthy BMI (Lose 25 pounds) Feel fabulous in my wedding dress on my wedding day!! 7/1/12-8/10/12: Go from 191-187 (DONE) 8/1/12-9/1/12: Lose 2-3 inches in my thighs and legs before returning back to grad school Go from 187-182 (NOT DONE) 9/1/12-10/1/12: Create a sane, effective and well organized plan for working out while in grad school + working (3-4 workouts per week) Go from 186-180 10/1/12-11/1/12: Go from 180-175 11/1/12-12/1/12: Go from 175-170 12/1/12-1/1/13: Go from 170-165 1/1/13-2/1/13: Have a fabulous 30th birthday!!
My Program:
I love running, yoga and eating clean. I have recently learned to love lifting weights and aim to workout/move every day! Do the work. Treat myself with love and compassion. Grow. Forgive. Let it go. Move, everyday.
