As a mother of 3 GROWN kids, I can tell you that you're addressing the weight problem at a very good time in your life. That said, I've found tracking my food intake to be an excellent tool - really keeps me informed and accountable. The articles and tools available on this site are amazing. And a HUGE added perk is the care and concern of total strangers. Like me! I'll leave you with a blurb I read on someone's thread: A healthy lifestyle is active, not passive.
