The Fabulous and Frustrating 40s

In July 2008, I joined sparkpeople because I had hit my highest weight ever. Daily exercise is part of my life now, but I still have a lot of work to do on the eating side. The 40s are awesome in so many ways, but the big downside is that the weight is harder and harder to take off. I'm happy that I've gotten a lot healthier, but I still have a lot of work to do!

Current Status:
ERIN1128 a friend posted on FB that they were in the ER all night with her daughter due to a sudden onset of pneumonia. I saw her Sunday afternoon and she was fine! Scary.

35-45 min/day, 6 days/week of exercise: 3 days/week of running, 1 day yoga, 1 day weights, 1 day "misc." (yardwork, Wii Fit, etc.).

I was running and riding ... back earlier in the year. Then all of a sudden my riding really tapered off. This morning was the first day I had done that again in a while. And with the darkness I bet my good intentions to do both will evaporate.

And I don't know about being in good shape. When I run ... 3 miles ... I am sooooo tired. The thing is, then I run 1.5 miles... and I am sooooooooooo tired. What is with that?!?!?!

Clarinet ... that is pretty cool that she is playing that. Go get her some Benny Goodman CDs! Or ... show her this video from youtuge!

so - an update on the girl scout thang, they are apparently in dire need in metro denver, so they are working with me. Scarily i might be a co-leader... hopefully someone knows what they are doing! Will be fun do so something i've been talking about for nearly 20 years... :D

Cool on the mapmyride ... I think sometimes my TomTom watch puts things on the mapmyrun version.

But I try to have the watch upload to Strava, as that is what I used to use for tracking my bike rides and runs.
