Trying to Look and Feel Awesome!
I'm a junior in college with one more semester to go before I gradate. I gained about 40 pounds through high school and my first year of college, and I have lost about 25 pounds over the last year and a half of being on Spark People. At first I lost 20 pounds but then I spent a semester in China and a summer traveling Asia and Europe and gained back 15 -- that was so frustrating! I gained about 40 pounds through high school and my first year of college, and I have lost about 25 pounds over the last year and a half of being on Spark People. At first I lost 20 pounds but then I spent a semester in China and a summer traveling Asia and Europe and gained back 15 -- that was so frustrating! I re-lost all of that weight and now I have about 10-15 pounds to go until I really feel like I am where I want to be. Here's the original introduction I wrote when I joined SP: I'm a college sophomore, I've gained about 40 pounds over the past four years, but 30 pounds of it was within six months and the last ten has creeped up slowly. I'm a dancer so I exercise and always watch what I eat but I'm trying to really make a concerted effort to lose the pounds for good and finally have the energy and feel and look as great as I want to!

My Goals:
I want to look incredible. I want to have energy throughout the day to get through my classes without feeling the need to eat to stay awake. I want to be a better dancer. I want to be able to wear the clothes of mine that I can't fit into anymore as well as feeling confident shopping.
My Program:
I'm tracking calories now and figuring a way to plan eating around a hectic class schedule. I'm going to the gym every morning and doing elliptical or the octane trainer (an awesome elliptical-type machine) for 30 minutes plus weight lifting for 30 minutes, different muscle groups on different days. Stretching a couple times a day is very important to me.
Personal Information:
I'm 5'6" and I live in Indiana. I love ballet and hip-hop. I'm a singer and an actress and being in shape is crucial to my career.
Other Information:
I love movies, especially Titanic, Scary Movie 3, and Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle. My favorite book is Fall On Your Knees by Anne-Marie McDonald, I also love East of Eden by John Steinbeck, as well as everything by Michael Crichton. Christina Aguilera is my absolute favorite singer, and I love rock, pop, and hip-hop, as well as country when I'm in the mood. I still love Britney, N Sync, and the Backstreet Boys, I'm not ashamed. I like Kanye West, Mars Volta, Apocalyptica, Ben Folds, and much more... everything but whiny music pretty much.
