Hello! Welcome to the Champions in the Kitchen Fall Challenge! The Summer Challenge was my first experience with this group. It was a lot of fun, interesting, and chocked full of support along the way by a great bunch of sparkers.
Today they've asked us to share our strategies for success. I'm sticking with what worked for me over the Summer Challenge, as I lost 5%, and lost weight each week, all while managing a record number of food events over the 8 weeks; the management of the food events was remarkable. For me, two things were key: I restricted my calories daily to 1200-1300 and stuck to my food plan of lean proteins, most of my carbs were fruits and vegetables, with 2 servings of bread over the course of the day. Food event days were less strict on food content, but I made myself stick to the 1200-1300 calories a day. Was it easy? No, but worth it. Patience is sooooo key.
