"before" August 2011 - guessing about 235 but wasn't going near the scale.

This is my inspiration photo. That is me in October 2009, 185 lbs, just finished 100 mile bike ride (first half of MS150 City To Shore).

My jogging buddies, Penelope and Tucker

New Year's resolution joiner...sort of a cautionary tale. Notice I have posted 3 "before" shots. At the bottom is where I was in 2008, about 240 lbs. The day after I downloaded that picture I went on a diet. Got a HRM from Polar and a bike and tracked my diet with DietPro. Got fit and really liked it.

Then work got hectic and I started traveling a lot. Told myself it was ok to ease up over the winter and that turned into a full year...and here I am again.

My Goals:
Under 200lbs on Dec 31. Hoping to revise that lower but I'll be happy with that.

1,000 miles on the bike during the course of the year.

Complete at least one 100 mile ride, hopefully the MS 150 again.

My Program:
Tracking everything I eat.
Using a food scale or other measuring device whenever possible.
Daily exercise with a HRM to maintain intensity as fitness level improves.
Right now that is mostly walking/jogging the dogs. In the Spring I expect to be back on my bike for at least 100 miles per week.

Every year I make a resolution to lose weight and every prior year I haven't made it past the first week. I have a different attitude this year that I have to do this for me and no one else. My weight is coming off very slowly but it's coming off. I have some major stressors happening in my life in the next few weeks so I need to get a good grasp on my weight before I head totally out of control both emotionally and physically.

2012 is going to be a fantastic year when it comes to our weight loss goals!!!
