I commit myself to coming spark everyday and blogging my experience, good or bad. This time, it is not just weight loss, it is weight release, never to come back.

These are attainable goals but if I take a little longer, I will enjoy the ride nevertheless because I accept setbacks as a learning point.

Hello Sparklies! I started my weight loss journey on 20 July 2009 -My D-Day it was.

My health status is, I suffer from a high blood pressure as well as sleep apnea. I don't want to remain unhealthy for the rest of my life. I worry about developing heart problems as well as diabetes. My mother passed away of a misdiagnosed stroke at the age of 51 so I already have a family history of poor health.

I did lose 10 kg is 2004 by dancing everyday but as an emotional eater, the weight piled on quickly soon after as I stopped caring about my body.

I am getting married on 1 Jan 2010 and eventually I do want to have a child or two. As such, I want to live a longish and healthy life so that I can emulate my mum and be the best mum that I can be.

I also don't want to be a burden to anyone in my family, and I know if I don't resolve my weight issue, I do face that possibility.

Mainly, I'm following a strict diet plan - no carbs, except for some healthy biscuits. I joined a weight loss programme that is supposed to heal my wonky metabolism and jump start burning calories better and eliminate bad calories, such as anything deep fried as well as desserts.

Some days, the temptations are super high, but I've seen great results. However, human nature is such that it's never enough aye.

I don't remember the last time I was not considered "fat" . Will really be my very own miracle - thanks to all the support I have - sparkpeople included!

Week 16 - 93.2 (No weight loss, had to attend a birthday party)
