Hey everyone this is Luke. I'm 19 and going to be a sophomore in college in the fall. In the last year i've put on a considerable amount of weight and have gotten to the point of being extremely uncomfortable and embarassed about the way i look. It was time for a change and now i'm trying to lose the extra weight i gained and then some.

My Goals:
Well first and foremost my main goal is to lose 100 pounds by the end of march, 2008. it sounds like quite a bit, but i know i can do it.

others goals i have: i hope to be able to slow down when i'm eating so to avoid eating excessive amounts. I hope to really manage the healthy foods that i intake and avoid the bad foods. i also really hope i can control my cravings, that's the one thing that gets me into the most amount of trouble late at night or when i'm bored.

My Program:
To meet my goals i'm:

getting on sparkpeople a lot, reading articles, interacting with all of you great people!, and doing the nutrition tracker. also i'm starting to exercise 3 days a week.

Other Information:
when i'm not working on losing weight and getting in shape, you can probably find me watching movies, reading books, making jokes, and just having a good time.

i love being myself, whether that means that i might not fit into a specific group or not. I love being real with myself, and doing things that make life worth living. I love to travel, and hope to study abroad for quite some time in the upcoming years.

i love harry potter too lol.

Hi there,

Just was browsing blog entries and saw yours. I hope you enjoy Spark and get a lot out of it, as there is a lot to be found! I've only been here a few weeks, but I can point out numerous changes already. I won't preach, but I smoked all through college and grad school. Believe me when I tell you it'll be way better if you quit now. I only quit 2 years ago and still wish I had done it 10 years sooner. It'll drive you crazy for a while, but in the long run it's so worth it. Also, I noticed you're a Harry Potter fan. Check out Spark Bookworms, there's quite a contingent over there. There's also a HP group (which I just found a couple days ago and now can't remember the name of) somewhere around here. Best of luck,
