Hello and Welcome to My Spark Page!

If you couldn't tell by my screen name, my name is Jim :)

I'm 28 years old and at the time of writing this I'm weighing in at a hefty 246. However, I used to weigh 310lbs in college. The first 60 lbs I dropped off and haven't looked back, however , I've been yo-yoing between 200 and 250 for the last 2 years.

I'm looking to leverage SparkPeople to help me be more consistent with my healthy eating and exercise plans. In so doing, I hope to also avoid these negative spirals, where I let my eating and lack of exercise get out of control and before I know it I've packed on weight again!

Congrats on the Fitness Minutes award!

And, for Spark Streaks, it's easy to set them up for criteria like "3 x per week" if that's of value to you.

Good going!

Found an interesting Spark article today...

http://www.sparkpeople.com/resource/moti
vation_articles.asp?id=604

that talked about using a calendar to develop positive habits. This actually resembles using SparkStreaks. So I think I'll set some up that help with my getting exercise and eating appropriately, regularly.

Worth a try.

Hey Jim -- thanks for the stationary bike! Winter's coming and it will get a lot of virtual use.
