This is more than just diet and exercise, it's a new life...

Why I started here in the first place:
My moods, weight, cravings, and all sorts of things were fluctuating all over the place and this is just what I need to get things back to being stable. More than weight goals (although I would like to lose a few lbs) I really just want balance in my diet and daily routine.

My Goals:
I just want to get to and maintain a healthy weight that I can stick to long term.

My Program:
I'm already pretty active so I don't have to force myself to work out but I do need to watch my calories so I'm meticulously tracking my cal intake-- so far it has been helpful because it allows me to eat a cookie and not feel like I've ruined my whole diet. It just gets counted like everything else! It's also made me realize how LITTLE protien I was getting... much better now

Personal Information:
I'm a northern girl that loves to play in the snow! Dogsledding, snowboarding, snowshoeing are among my snow sports... But I also love the summers too-- golf, mountain biking and beach volleyball are my favorites for summertime fun! I'm a former college athlete and although I still play/coach a ton of volleyball it's fun to be able to take up new sports and activities.

Other Information:
In matters of style, swim with the current, in matters of principle, stand like a rock

Hey Emma,

I saw your comment from just a bit ago. Things are going ok. I stopped logging cals and am up 7 lbs from where I was most comfy at (138). So, I am back to tracking. Blah...it's boring....but necessary.

My Siberian Husky, TiVo is now 16 months old. He is beautiful and tall. A tad too tall for his bread, and lean too. Lucky dog...who doesn't want to be tall and thin right? He's now my background pic on my sparkpage.

Are you still in FL? I don't know how you are doing it loving the snow like you do. I love snow and we get it maybe 1 time a year here in Atlanta. I couldn't go back to FL after living there for 20 years.

Hey, How are you? It's been a while. I was off Spark for a bit. Also, totally depressed. I wasn't exercising and eating lots of junk. Finally I got on that scale and was even more depressed.

This last month, though, I've gotten back on track. I feel sooooo much better.

Hey Emma! So good to hear from you! Congrats on your upcoming auntie status. I can attest that being an aunt is the best thing in the world! My due date is April 15- suddenly it seems to be coming really fast! Yikes!
