I have decided to transition to maintenance. I have accomplished all my fitness goals and consider myself an athlete! I participate in Zumba and Spinning six days a week.
My body is a machine! I am happiest and healthiest in this shape and size. The needs I may have in the future are subject to change, but for now I consider my goal MET!
I started out at 310 lbs, and currently weigh around 220. Sparkpeople and the friends I have made here have been instrumental! Stick around and you'll see a big change in yourself, too.
I have lost 10 sizes - from a 26 to a 14!

On January 29th, 2012, I weighed 305 pounds. It was my 24th birthday.
On January 29th, 2013, I will weigh around 224 pounds. It will be my 25th birthday!

Down 80 pounds, and just 44 to go! It has taken 10 months to get to this point, and after a little bit of a stumble in November, I'm ready to get refocused and pitch these last 40 lbs before my anniversary in June.
After losing 80 lbs, the difference in my life is huge. My clothes are smaller, my house is cleaner and I've only been sick ONCE this year as opposed to 5-10 times in previous years. I'm stronger and saner every day.
If you're wondering if it's worth it to skip that candy bar- it is. If you're wondering if it's worth it to push and sacrifice and strain - it is.

It's been about 6.5 months since I first started on SP. I've lost about 10 inches off all measurements, and a total of 67 lbs! I only have 57 lbs to shed before I hit my real "goal" of 180 lbs. At that time, I may choose to lose up to 10 lbs more to get to the middle of a "healthy BMI," if possible. However, I'm more focused on my body fat percentage - which is already in the "acceptable" range. Getting down to a BMI of 23-24 would cost me some muscle, so who knows!
No matter what, fitness is not about a number - it's not your BMI, it's not your weight - it's about building strong muscles, big lungs and a bad-ass heart!
If there's one thing I've learned, it's to never give up. Not on healthy food, not on strength training, not on cardio - not on myself. There are days when cheeseburgers and chocolate are GOING to happen - own your mistakes and GET BACK UP!
My name (as you'll know it) is Emma and my beloved fiance is C. Over the past 7 years, I have gained 70 pounds! I've finally uncovered the roots of my over-eating and now, I am determined to lose 124 pounds by June 14, 2013 - my 8th anniversary. I -know- I can control my health, my weight, and my life.
I'm doing this semi- anonymously because of the fact that I have to be completely honest with myself about my weight and my life. I'm still working the original veggie-centered eating, but I have a little bit of everything. I don't eat a lot of junk, and I find healthier versions of the stuff I can't live without.

I work a desk job at a local newspaper. I am a passionate animal advocate - wild and domestic - and have nursed lots of little creatures in my time.
I live in Nebraska with my fiance C, our three cats and one American Eskimo Dog.
I love to read, I love to watch murder mysteries - especially Bones, and I am a devoted dog trainer.
I'm developing a passionate addiction to exercise, especially Pilates and aerobics.
I have a stationary bike that gets ridden about 45 miles a week - it is seriously addictive.
The next step in my personal gym is an elliptical.
