185, HERE I COME!
I'm back! It's been a long, but good year and I've mostly maintained my weight loss. But the other day I was talking to a few people about the support I received on this site, and how it was so amazing... so I'm back! I've been doing WW but am stuck right around 199 - 202, and I think its a possiblity that I am not eating enough calories... so I am here to find out! But the other day I was talking to a few people about the support I received on this site, and how it was so amazing... so I'm back! I've been doing WW but am stuck right around 199 - 202, and I think its a possiblity that I am not eating enough calories... so I am here to find out! I am training for a Half Marathon in February, have started boxing for some intense strength training and look forward to seeing the 180's in 2012! ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ THE HISTORY: 2009 was really rough year for me emotionally, and a lot of people told me that the commitment to run the Marathon, to work on myself and my health would reap benefits beyond the physical aspects of it - and they were right! In April 2010, I ran the Boston Marathon. It was awesome. And then I proceeded to stop running, eat my face off, and gain a solid 5 lbs including 1.5" in my waist and 2" in my hips. OUCH. So... starting in August of 2010, I recommitted myself to working out - mostly running and spinning - and began training for my second half marathon. I finished my second half marathon in October 2010, and am planning on running another in February 2011. My goal for this race is to take 5 - 10 minutes off my best time. (2:40:23) For as long as I can remember, all I've wanted is to weigh 199 lbs... its like the holy land for me. I haven't seen that number it at least 10 years, and I'm hoping 2010 is the year where I break the 'over 200 streak'. WHERE I STARTED FROM My highest weight ever was 260lbs (probably around 2002), and I had gone as low as 203 (sometime in 2005)! But with graduate school, and the stresses of work and life I have crept back up beyond where I promised I would go. "I'll never go back over 210... I'll never go back over 215..." and then I'm 220! It was time for a motivation change and that is where Spark came in :)
