Hi SparkPeople. This is my page.

I joined just about one year ago and right away lost about 20 lbs. I thought, "This is it, I'm never going back." Well, of course I did :)

I find the tools on Spark incredibly useful, but really one website cannot mitigate a lifetime of habits.

But I'm back for another round :) And I set an even bigger goal for myself. I'm really trying to get down to 135 - right in the middle of that healthy BMI range, and less than I have ever weighed (at least as an adult).

I log calories and log my workouts. Luckily I love to exercise and have a great gym right down the street, so that part is not difficult for me. It's just the CALORIES IN that is my problem!

I am 6 months away from completing my M.D., and 5 months away from a lovely hiking trip to Yosemite with four of my best friends. And hopefully 5 months away from reaching my goal.

I'm right there with you sister, sitting at a nice 158 lbs this morning :) I too tend to go back and forth yo-yo-ing between really doing well and really doing NOT well. Keep up the hard work, its SO worth it!!

Hello there,
Thanks so much for adding me as a friend! I totally relate to your struggle with the yo-yoing and with having gained back the weight you had lost. I gained around 10 pounds in the last few months because I was so depressed after a break up. Now I don't really weigh myself, just measure. That has helped in releaving me a little of the obsession with numbers (numbers on a measuring tape mean less to me than the ones on the scale).

Hope you're doing great and I wish you lots of luck with the rest of your weight-loss journey. You're doing a wonderful job!
Julia

Welcome to the emotional eaters team. You will get a lot of support, advice and encouragement here. Post us often. We will listen and help pick you up when you mess up and pat you on the back when you succeed. A valuable tool is the nutrition tracker. You will find it under the my tools tab. It will show your calories, fat, carbs and protein. Drink 8 glasses of water a day and get 30 grams of fiber with the water a day. Exercise 30 min. a day. Spark mail me if you need any help. Check out my spark page. Maybe it will inspire you.
