Emily, Don't give up on yourself! You can do this! You are worth it!

I first began this journey in November of 2007 with grand plans to achieve my goals by February of 2008. It is now July and I have managed to gain back the 20 pounds I had lost. We are pursuing pregnancy even though I haven't lost weight because we just can't put our lives on hold any more waiting for me to make this happen. I want to do keep up sparking so that I can be losing weight while we try to conceive.

Even if its 2 pounds a month, I want to make this happen! So here we are...its July 10, 2008 and I want to begin again.

My Goals:
I want to lose weight and live a healthy life. I want to free the inner health nut that I KNOW is inside of me. I want to change my relationship with food. I pray that through this I might gain a body that is healthy enough to have a baby.

My Program:
I am so blessed to have Mike as my personal trainer and Sandi as a workout partner and encourager. My new program was tailored by them.
~40 min. of cardio a minimum of 4x per week.
~45 min personalized strength training 3x per week.
~1400-1600 calories per day
~96oz water every day

Personal Information:
I'm a disciple of Christ Jesus my Lord and Savior. I love my husband of 6 1/2 years and most of the time I enjoy our 5 dogs :-) I am doing the last thing I ever thought I would do- volunteering in youth ministry at our church with my husband...and I love it! I am blessed with many wonderful friends and mentors. We are close with our family and praying that God would bless us with children of our own soon! We believe with all of our hearts that God will bless us with children someday. Our job in the mean time is to follow hard after Him and remain hopeful and confident that He will fulfill His promise in His time. Toward that end, I'm working on slimming down to be the healthy person I want to be.

Other Information:
Success consists of getting up just one more time than you fall.

Keep up the great work. You have set the long term goals and rewards which should really help.

Also I like the fact that you are keeping your daily fat intake down as well. That is one of the biggest problems that I think most people have, they watch the cards and sugars, but ignore the fat. With the amount of cardio you are doing, the cards are not as much of a concern as the total fat intake.

You are doing a great job. Keep it up!

It's a new year for me I'm going to lose 38 pounds this year and tone up my bod. I know your going to get under 200. Thank you for adding me as a friend.

I lost more weight in the begining. I was averaging 4 pounds a week then I went down to 3 and then down to 1 so you get the picture.( So for the entire year it was an average of 2 pounds per week) I didnt platue until October which was 46 weeks in for me and it hasnt really been a platue more like loss of motivation? I'm ok I just keep checking in here everyday and any day now I know I will start losing pounds again.

It's motivating to see how clearly you write out your goals. You are doing great! Good job! Sorry to read about your flu shot, I hope you are feeling better; I got the flu shot this week, too, and felt pretty bad. Take care of yourself and good luck.
