I am a 20-something teacher in the DC area. I have a wonderful life filled with great friends, loving family and an amazing husband.

I like to keep active whether its racing against myself on the treadmill at the gym, walking the fitness trail around the lake, climbing, biking, dancing (not well),


I also enjoy all kinds of music, scouts, writing, reading, knitting, crocheting, the color pink, being silly, and cuddles & snuggles.

My Goals:
Track all food and fitness

Go to the gym 2 days a week, Yoga once a week, GOTR coaching 2 days a week - leading up to our 5k

Do something active for at least thirty minutes Sat & Sun

Don't allow weekends to undo the week's hard work :)

Drink 8 glasses of water a day

Eat at least three fruits and veggies each day

Say NO to birthday cupcakes from students!

Strength train 3 days a week

5k in November

Be happy with who I am!

Stress less and smile more.

My Program:
I am much more conscious of the foods I am eating and I try to make sure my diet is balanced and tasty :)

I am a Girls on the Run coach this year at the Elementary School where I teach.

On the weekends I make sure to hit the climbing gym, do some biking, go for a hike or play Frisbee golf!

5 days a week - walk to work

3 days a week, run a 5k on the treadmill to get my time faster and faster, Full body work outs.

2 days a week - GOTR practice with the kiddos

I am not trying to be a "figure competitor"...I am trying to gain self confidence and love me!

I have some cheer up ideas:

- Make funny faces to your fishies and blow them kisses
- Listen to Adam Sandler singing you know what
- Make a yummy snack and think to your self, "I am so glad I am not
eating the cafeteria food anymore"
- Countdown to Friday and think about how much fun our weekend
will be
- Make a big HUGE smile!!!

Howdy! All in all we didn't do to bad this weekend. Food wise steak really isn't so bad and stuff like the artichoke dip is good too. I was looking at my reports since I started and I seem to be very capable of getting enough fat, calories and protein but I never seem to get enough carbs. What do I do to get more carbs or maybe I shouldn't be getting as much as it says...? Any ideas? emoticon
