Working towards a healthy life!

I never paid attention to my weight until I moved to New York City three years ago, and by my wedding day two years later, I had lost almost 15 pounds just from walking everywhere and eating well. Now, a year after that, I've become a bit lax and lazy and the scale has started to creep back up.

I'm really trying to focus on exercising regularly, which is something I've never done, and consciously eating well only when I'm hungry instead of mindlessly consuming whatever is on my plate. It's hard not to just focus on the number of the scale, but I do hope to get back to my wedding day weight.

I just started a training program for a 5K. I've never run a race before, and running is the last thing I want to do when it's time to work out, so it's been a real challenge! I hope I can follow through!
