My Goals:
My main goals are to get HEALTHY and be very active. I'm tired of life passing me by! I want to experience it and enjoy it! So, one of my goals is to hike up Mt. Garfield, CO by the end of next summer (Aug. 1, 2009). Then I hope to do a 14er sometime in the future. That goal is still way off...babysteps! lol. I also would LOVE to be able to wear a bathing suit next summer. This years goal is to wear shorts! lol.

My Program:
My friends and I have started up a kind of "biggest loser club" in our area....we will meet once a week to weigh and then once a month we'll have a HEALTHY potluck. :0) We do have a "purse" to help make it more "serious"....more of a motivator. I'm excited to see how everyone does!!

My goal is to workout at least 3 days a week. Should be easy since I work at a local gym. I'll also be doing things here and there like riding my bicycle to my friend's for weigh ins. :0) Just doing what I can, when I can!

Personal Information:
Name: Elysia
Location: Western Colorado

Other Information:
I am a geek to the core. I love art, comics, movies of all types, scrapbooking, photography, hiking is my fave, boxers (dog), and organization (I think I'm a bit compulsive!). :0)

I just read this poem & felt it too good not to share on this CHRISTmas Eve! God bless!

{This is another version of 'Twas The Night Before Christmas' }

'Twas the night before Jesus came
and all through the house
Not a creature was praying,
Not one in the house.
Their Bibles were lain on the shelf without care
In hopes that Jesus would not come there.

The children were dressing to crawl into bed.
Not once ever kneeling or bowing a head.
And Mom in her rocker with baby on her lap
Was watching the Late Show while I took a nap.

When out of the East there arose such a clatter.
I sprang to my feet to see what was the matter.
Away to the window I flew like a flash,
Tore open the shutters and threw up the sash!

When what to my wondering eyes should appear
But angels proclaiming that Jesus was here.
With a light like the sun sending forth a bright ray
I knew in a moment this must be THE DAY!

The light of His face made me cover my head
It was Jesus! returning just like He had said.
And though I possessed worldly wisdom and wealth,
I cried when I saw Him in spite of myself.

In the Book of Life which He held in His hand
Was written the name of every saved man.
He spoke not a word as He searched for my name;
When He said "it's not here" my head hung in shame.

The people whose names had been written with love
He gathered to take to His Father above.
With those who were ready He rose without a sound.
While all the rest were left standing around.

I fell to my knees, but it was too late;
I had waited too long and thus sealed my fate.
I stood and I cried as they rose out of sight;
Oh, if only I had been ready tonight.

In the words of this poem the meaning is clear;
The coming of Jesus is drawing near.
There's only one life and when comes the last call
We'll find that the Bible was true after all!

(by Reverend Edward M. Gionest, Sr.)

To those who receive Him, He gives the power to become the sons of God, even to those that believe on his name. Repent and declare with your mouth that Jesus is your Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him up from the dead, you will be saved.

Hi - just saw you in the Colorado Women's team - did you know there is a Western Slope team?

Anyway.... I'm from Cedaredge

My husband and I went to the Mica Mine yesterday (that's on the Mesa) - great hike - about 2 miles each way - not to hard & lots of great scenery.

Good luck on your journey!

Sharon

Bummer. I went and gained a pound. Oh well, I cannot be that mad at myself since ***I*** chose to eat poorly. :0) I can only start from now to do better.

Have a blessed day!
