Have you had a physical with a doctor who understands obesity? I'm 67 and have been fat since I had my last child at 42, but I couldn't get any of the doctors I saw to help me lose weight. "Cut back on what you eat and exercise a little more." Right. I have finally found an endocrinologist who put me on Metformin, Bydureon (a weekly shot) and Armour Thyroid (I take at night.) He told me my blood sugar at 115 isn't diabetes which starts at 126 but it is close enough. I told him I had PCOS since I was 13 & I stayed slim all those years because I only ate once a day, but he said even now at my age, I'm dealing with the belly fat, etc. I no longer have night cravings, so I have been able to follow a LCHF diet.
I know Sparks is against using medication, but I really have had to have it. He gave me Bontril for an appetite suppressant but I haven't needed it after the first day.
Jason Fung M.D. has great lectures on YouTube on Insulin Resistance.

I read you request for exercises you could do on Indygirls team challenge. I suggest chair exercise as a good low impact exercise to begin with. You can put in as much or as little effort as you feel you can handle. Hope this helps!

    Hugs,
