5 MONTHS AND GOING STRONG!

Hello fellow Sparkies! Today is my 5 month Spark Anniversary and it's about time I updated my profile!

I began this journey on July 7, 2010 kicking and screaming all the way. I weighed 279 pounds, couldn't cross my legs or walk up a short flight of stairs without huffing or puffing. Junk food was the daily fare since I was usually too tired to cook or didn't have anything healthy in the house.

I began this journey on July 7, 2010 kicking and screaming all the way. I weighed 279 pounds, couldn't cross my legs or walk up a short flight of stairs without huffing or puffing. Junk food was the daily fare since I was usually too tired to cook or didn't have anything healthy in the house.

Five months later, I weigh in at 240.5, can cross my legs, bound up a flight of stairs, eat a healthy Mediterranean diet and do the Leslie Sansone advanced 3 mile walk 4 times a week. Now that's prgress!

I no longer diet . . . diets have a beginning and end . . . but am on a life long journey toward good health through proper nutrition, challenging exercise, adequate sleep and the knowledge that I am worth the effort!

I am a 57 year old career woman, living and working in the San Francisco Bay Area. I have been married to my wonderful DH for 27 years and we have a beautiful 19 year old daughter and 3 Norwegian Elkhounds.
