Once and for all...this time is different.

Hi I'm Eliza and have been on this roller coaster my entire life. The first pictures that showed weight gain were back in 2nd grade. After that I was up and down constantly. When I lose weight it is dramatic and then I just gain it all back because I lost it unrealistically. I have read a lot of books and articles on health and diet and feel that I know a whole lot about food and exercise. For some reason I just can't figure out how to make it lifelong and build habits that I can manage. ...

When I lose weight it is dramatic and then I just gain it all back because I lost it unrealistically. I have read a lot of books and articles on health and diet and feel that I know a whole lot about food and exercise. For some reason I just can't figure out how to make it lifelong and build habits that I can manage. I'm determined to make 2012 my best year ever and the year when I'll truly reach my goals.

I have a 5 year old and am currently pursuing a Master's in education at UT while working as a Kindergarten teacher. I've also recently gone through a breakup after 8 years. My life is crazy!!! Would love to meet new and inspiring people on Sparkpeople so please "friend" me:-).

Mini goals-be active daily no matter how big or smal

Walk 30 minutes everyday

My Program:
Right now I have no program except that I want to be active at least 5 days a week and change up my routine so that I don't get bored.

Eat in moderation.

Lots of fruits, veggies, lean meats, lowfat dairy.

Personal Information:
I'm 29 years old and live in Austin TX with my 5 year old son. I teach Bilingual Kindergarten in AISD and am pursuing a Master's at The University of Texas at Austin.

I swear we are like the same person. I was just re-reading through some old blogs of mine and found your comment on one of them. I clicked on your page, and we updated to our "new" page on the same day this year - May 7th. We weigh the same, have the same end goal weight. And although I have "known" you on spark for over a year we are no farther or no closer to our goals than we were before. I took a little detour with the Dukan diet (again, fad diets, readying everything about losing weight yet unable to put our knowledge into practice)....so let's do this together the right way! BLC is the biggest loser challenge that some pf the spark ladies put together. it goes for 7 weeks. we weigh in every friday and its $1 every weigh in. If you don't weigh in its $2. You also give measurements at the beginning too. Then at the end every pound you gain from your starting weight is $1 and then the money gets split between who lost the most body fat and lost the most inches. You can try and get ahold of GIRL*IN*MOTION (clampitt112704@hotmail.com) and see if you can still join if youre interested. We started on Jan 20.
