There are a ton of articles about salt if you'd like to peek. Ultimately salt does not make you gain weight, but it does promote water retention. Because I had lots of salt before weigh in last week the scale went up. But now that is gone. It's cosmetic (bloated feeling) and distressing (when you have weigh in the next day like me!) but salt does not truly make you "gain weight." Hope this helps. 24 days ago
