My Goals:
Trying to get back down to 200 pounds and re-lose the weight I lost before I hit a plateau and regained it.

My Program:
Trying to get more gentle movement in without damaging myself, trying to eat a lot more veggies and protein and find a balance that works for my emotional health. I happily kept my 2011 new years resolution to "eat my weight in chocolate and cheese!" In 2012 my word for the year is "Reclaim."

Personal Information:
I'm in Texas, living with hubby and 2 cats, working on saving up for our first house someday now that we've paid off all our debt.

Other Information:
I have a lot of things going wrong with my health, some diagnosed, some not figured out yet but now doctors are working on it. I have clinical depression, poly-cystic ovaries, and fibromyalgia. 2012 update: I am finally diagnosed and being treated for ulcerated colon, they weren't sure if it was Crohn's at first. They also discovered fibroids the size of ping pong balls in my uterus. Trying to figure out what to treat next and how!

Hiya, saw your comment on the sparkblogs - Negate what you ate - Nachos, and just wanted to say I totally agree with you. It would have been good to see the calorie count of that heaping pile of nachos and, yeah I loooove cheese on my nachos but there's no way I'd put 2 cups worth on either. Anyway, have a great evening/day (it's Tuesday afternoon for me in New Zealand) emoticon

Hi Elisela2011 -- Thanks for the swing by and comment on my blog (rethinking oatmeal). The steel cut oats get cooked up every other day or every third day -- depends on whether Dad is helping me tackle the gruel or I'm on my own. Soy and Rice milks are working just fine -- plain is my flavor of choice. Hoping all is good with you. Shirl

Your year end goals are great, Elise. Go for it. Losing 30 pounds this year is a great achievement. I know...that's what I've lost, too. Next year, I'll lose another 30. Baby steps...slower than we want but faster than what we've done before.
