I'm Mandy and I am 26 years old. Almost 4 years ago, I saw the scale hit just under 200lbs, which for me was devastating. I made myself a promise that I would NEVER see myself hit the 200s. I lost 20lbs in about 1 month and a half, but over the course of 6 months I was back up to 190lbs.

That is how it had always been for me...lose weight, gain it back..and then some. After watching my weight go up again slowly, I finally knew I had to make some changes!

For the first 6 months of my weight loss journey, all I did was correct my eating. I hadn't made the decision to lose weight at that point. I made the choice to live healthy. I cut out all processed foods and dairy. After 6 months had passed, I had lost absolutely all addiction to food. With my health improved and my attitude getting better, I finally decided to start exercising.

I weighed 180lbs when I started working out. The program I owe most of my weight loss to is ChaLEAN Extreme! At the end of the program, I weighed about 140-150lbs. I continued to excercise and eat healthy, and had gotten down to 122-126lbs and maintained it for about 6 months...

But then I got pregnant! I found out in July 2012. Unfortunately, I gained 46lbs during my pregnancy! Well, I just had my baby April 6th, 2013! I have lost 20lbs so far just from essential baby gains and breast feeding, but still want to lose at least another 20lbs to get back to my pre-pregnancy weight.

This is what I did during my first weight loss journey to become successful:
-I wrote some colorful motivational words and pinned them around my computer area (I have no tv so I use my computer when I work out). I wrote "Don't Give Up!" "Dig Deep" "You ARE Strong!" etc...
-I had a calendar pinned by my computer. I filled out 4 months of workouts I would be doing ahead of time. When they are set in stone, it is hard to avoid them. After I did the workout, I crossed it out with a colored X. If I missed a workout, it would SHOW and made me want to see a lot of Xs on my calendar!
-I never missed a strength day. My building muscle is a HUGE reason why I kept losing weight after the program was over! (I had moved not long after I did her program and had fallen out of working out for 3 months. In that time span I peeled off another 10lbs without actually working out!)
-I always made my goals REALISTIC! I had an ultimate goal of reaching 140lbs originally...but I never put a time frame on it!!! Each week I had a goal of doing better at my workout. Each month my goal was to lose some inches.
-Initially I only lost 6lbs in 2 months of working out. A big part of my success was not worrying about that! I lost several inches, and that showed I was doing good!
-Monthly progress photos kept me SO motivated!
-This website helped me a lot! I used this site to track my calories every day.

I now live my life as a vegetarian. I cut meat out sometime during my weight loss journey. It was easy for me because I have never been a huge fan of eating meat.

My new plan is basically to do what made me successful before! I will be doing new workout dvds, but I intend to do ChaLEAN Extreme again very soon!

Remember...patience is one of the most important things when it comes to weight loss. It took me so long to get to where I am now. I never gave up and thus why after all these years I finally lost all the weight. Did I mention I am at a weight I haven't seen since I was 12 years old?! Don't give up.
