Woo Hoo! I hit a Normal BMI by 2012

But now in 2014, I've put a few of those pound back on and am teetering between "normal" and "overweight". I need to refocus for the rest of the year. Winter was rough here in Wisconsin.

In 2011 I was classified as "obese".
My goal was to hit a healthy "normal" BMI by 2012 - and I did it!

February 2011's reason's I wanted to lose weight:
1. I don't have any energy after work to play with my children (this is very sad to me).
2. I'm embarrassed to ...

2. I'm embarrassed to take my children swimming. I'd like to not be self-conscious in a swimsuit.
3. Someone at work asked me if I was expecting!!!! This was an eye opener.
4. Prove to myself that I can do this. That I am not a quitter!

UPDATE FROM SEPTEMBER 2011 - After 25 pounds lost
1. My butt is not glued to the couch anymore, I definitely have more energy.
2. I'm still embarrassed to be in my swimsuit - but now it's because it has so much fabric! (But I have 15-20 pounds to lose yet before I buy another one!)
3. Nobody has put their hand on my stomach lately and asked when I'm due :-)
4. I am not a quitter. I will go all the way. I still have 15-20 pounds left to lose.

UPDATE FROM DECEMBER 2011 - After 35 pounds lost
1. I'm exercising more than I ever have before!
2. I'm buying a bikini swimsuit - and I'm actually going to wear it!
3. I'm constantly being told how good I luck and people are asking how much weight I lost and what tips I can give them.
4. I did it!
**NEW** 5. I want to push myself to get down to my pre-pregnancy weight of about 130 pounds. 10 to go. SLOWLY over the entire 2012.

Other Information:
Right now I'm enjoying this weight loss journey (exercise and nutrition are my main hobbies). I do also enjoy my children and our small hobby farm (sheep, ducks, chickens, geese, rabbits), and traveling (we go somewhere 3x/year).

Other hobbies I enjoy that I haven't had much time for are: painting rocks and watercolor, making wine (which I give away and don't drink), playing piano, cooking (baking), writing novels and short stories, reading, learning spanish, and quilting.

Joy,
Thanks for commenting on the Challenges and Goals discussion. Best of luck on the 5% challenge. I think you are right, making sure you log everything, even if it you go over or eat junk, keeps you accountable. That way you are making a conscious choice. Maybe keeping a journal as to how you are feeling at the time or what you are craving will help with what is triggering the need for the food.
