It's time to fit into my jeans again.

I've been overweight most of my life, so I'm pretty familiar with weight loss programs. In the past, I successfully lost weight and kept it off for a few years. Then, two years ago, I started taking evening classes. Needless to say, some of the weight I worked so hard to lose came back on so easily.
I joined SparkPeople for the tracking tools. I'm looking forward to losing about 35 lbs before this summer (2011). My overall goal is not to be a size 2 or even a size 6, but to get to a size ...

My Goals:
Lose 34 lbs.
Fit into my "skinny" clothes again.
Hike up steep trails with more energy than I do now.
Run in a 5k race, then 10k, then a half marathon.

My Program:
1. Exercising four to five times per week.
2. Keeping track of what I eat.

In general, I'm not doing anything special. I'm just working to keep my calories intake lower than my calories burned on a daily basis.

Thank you for the comment on my blog about the scales. I can't tell you how much I believe that the number on that piece of equipment has very little to do with success.

Just looking at your tracker, it appears to me you are making good progress toward your goal weight. Congratulations and keep up the good choices you're obviously making yourself!

Thank you for your comment on my "yawning" post. I love the thought of "changing states" in regards to yawning. And I know it's not how it's actually intended, but I think I'm going to think of myself as changing from the "flabby state" to the "fit state" from now on...

Hi I'm a fellow Zumba addict. I did 4 classes 4 days in a row this week. The past 3 weeks before that I did 5 classes each week. I love it!
