2011 Its gonna be a bumpy ride - but it sure beats standing still
I finally found a theme for 2011 (above). More than anything else I am tired of standing still, tired of doing it half way, tired of only giving 60%, 80% of the time. Tired of losing then gaining the same 15-20lbs over and over again. The count down is on. In 56 weeks (the end of March 2012) I will be 40 years old!! And I am tired of feeling like I'm 60! I want to celebrate 40 with a big ol' party and I wanna look HOT and SEXY, not just for the party, but for my husband and more ...
I want to celebrate 40 with a big ol' party and I wanna look HOT and SEXY, not just for the party, but for my husband and more importantly for ME! And as a bonus - this time Hubby (DH) is on board with me. We have joined a gym (a first for me), overhauled our dinners, added heaps of veggies/fruit to our diets and committed to getting extra cardio. I am excited for the first time in a along time. I hope having at home support will be just what I need to "make it happen" this time. I know we have some challenges: 1. We are living on 1/2 of what we used to 2 yeas ago, so money is tight - but paying for a gym membership reminds me my health is a priority. 2. Food costs in the Bahamas are ridiculously high - we will have to keep reminding ourselves that we need the right fuel for this fight. 3. We both have parents and grandparents that often need our time and attention, we have to remember to make time for our health. 4. I am juggling a full time and part time job, the second which pays hourly. I often justify missing a workout by saying I am earning my family money - but in the end I am really hurting my health. 5. Although I am a great multi-tasker - sometimes time gets away from me - I need to PLAN, PLAN, PLAN to stay on top of deadlines, meal plans and chores. One of my girlfriends likes to say: "The only difference between try and triumph is just a little umph!" Well world - I'm ready to "umph" it out! "We are never to old, too fat, too poor, too tired or even too depressed to learn to move towards a healthier choice."~CAROLYN1213
