I'm a senior at Missouri State University studying Antiquities - Classical Studies (that's Ancient Greece and Rome) with the intent of going on to earn a PhD and teaching college.

I've always been heavy, but since I quit doing TaeKwonDo back in high school, I put on about 30 pounds. My doctor recommended a vegan diet that's heavy on vegetables, so I'm going to try it. I'm also walking quickly (I don't think it's quite power-walking) five days a week for 30 minutes a day.

My Goals:
I want to get my BMI down to 24 from my current 35. That means dropping from 215 lbs to 150 lbs. I understand that my frame is large and I still have a decent amount of muscle, however, so 160 lbs may be more reasonable.

My Program:
Vegan diet, minus eating at restaurants (1-2 times a week).
Walking, 30 mins/day, 5 days/week.

Favorite color: Pink
Favorite books: The Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan, the Dragonlance series by Weis and Hickman, and the Pendragon series by DJ McHale
Favorite TV Shows: Star Trek (all), Stargate (SG-1 and Atlantis)
