Eileen's Dashing and Bold Adventure
The title is from a fortune cookie I got once that said "Life to you is a dashing and bold adventure". That is what i strive for.
I am 52, live in Portland Oregon, work nights at a high stress job (work with adolescent girls in a lock-down treatment faciltiy). I am also an artist and Buddhist.
Throughout my various adventures over the years, I've taken my body and good health for granted. Now that I'm starting to get older I am realizing that I can't keep doing that ...

Throughout my various adventures over the years, I've taken my body and good health for granted. Now that I'm starting to get older I am realizing that I can't keep doing that and continue to live the kind of life I want to live. I want to be happy and healthy as I age. I want to be active and adventurous. Changes are in order!

Starting with awareness and moving cautiously because I don't want to get caught up in an unhealthy dieting, not-feeling-ok about myself mentality.
Cooking healthier, avoiding processed and fast food, incorporating more movement. Soon to add strength training and stretching.
