Need to lose 50lbs

All my life I have been in great shape. I never had to try at being fit because I just was. I would eat whatever I wanted when I wanted with no consequences. I was always physically active so I burned a lot of the calories off. After I had my first son I was 19 so I bounced back into my old clothes and size rapidly. I was always physically active so I burned a lot of the calories off. After I had my first son I was 19 so I bounced back into my old clothes and size rapidly. Then 5 years later when I had my second son the transition from fat to trim didn't happen. In fact I have bounced up and down in weight since that time. I have tried different things and then give up when they don't work. I am now at 179 lbs and absolutely devasted that I became so fat. So I have started hitting the gym again 5 days a week and I work out for about an hour. I have been doing this for about a month, and I notice the changes are coming very slow. So I talked to a friend about how I was feeling and she recommended this site and said this is what I need to help me stay motivated. So, I figured what the heck, I got nothing to lose by being member.
Any information or tips that anyone wants to provide in order to help me stay on track to losing weight is greatly appreciated.
