Travel is Fatal to Prejudice, Bigotry and Narrow-mindedness Mark Twain

My husband and I love to travel. We have done quite a lot in Europe, China, Thailand and the Caribbean. We love to watch the travel shows on TV. You learn so much from traveling and it truly broadens your horizons. One thing I have learned is that people are people- all basically the same--all over the world!

My Goals:
I would like to take charge of my weight and get healthy. I hate to exercise, but at my age it becomes a necessity, not a choice unless I want to deal with the alternative.

My Program:
I am staying within my calorie goals and eating healthier- working on more veggies. My downfall is not exercising. I am working on this, making slow progress.

Personal Information:
I live in a small town in northern Illinois. My husband and I have been married 47 years and have 2 sons. We have one grandson who is the joy of our life right now. Effie Annie is our "dogter".

I am a nurse on the brink of retirement. Just having a hard time making the big decision.

Panama will be nice and warm.
A friend of mine lives on an island very close by but I cannot for the life of me remember its name. I know it is all coral and they can fly or boat o the Mainland. He loves the warmth he comes back to Maine and he lives on a lake.
You will have a grandson to dote on while his parents are out having a nice time I am sure you are having a great time with Darren. HUGS Pat in Maine. emoticon

There are just a few flakes but we are always prepared. We bought a Jotul propane heater free standing no chimney needed and it looks very nice especially when it switches on. We bought it after the Ice storm and never regretted spending the money for it. emoticon
It has it's own built in carbon monoxide detector and a thermostat so it keeps going on and off some evenings. When it's cold we find it is on a lot more. emoticon
It needs NO ELECTRICITY so I found the perfect solution.
Are you taking a trip this year or does your grandson give you a nice holiday. (((((HUGS))))) much love- Pat in Maine. emoticon

emoticon Glad you are enjoying the photos from our vacation. That cracked me up when you said the flamingos didn't look real! They are such cool birds...so big too! I hated to see the vacation come to an end!
Hope all is going well with you! Have a good week! emoticon

We never lost power. The snow was so fine it got in to the garage through cracks around the door frame. It was very windy and white outs. It was a really pretty day in our city. Yesterday was closed down, no school today an d another storm on Friday.
We had almost 2 feet but some places the road and roofs were clear yet we had drifts as high as the fence. Pure white snow drifts like sand dunes.
I still cannot download my camera o this SURFACE2. HUGS Pat in Maine. emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon I hope you are both well--Pat
