No better time than the present
I have struggled with my weight from a very young age. I will never forget when i was 8 or 9 in third grade and weighed 80 lbs and was told i was fat compared to my 15 yr old cousin who weighed the same. I guess that's when my weight stigma started. Throught out my life since then i have made efforts to be fit, but none permanent. Now at 32 and a mother of 2 young kids, I want to make a lifestyle change not just a temporary diet. I don't want to spend "quality time" with my kids only doing ...

I will never forget when i was 8 or 9 in third grade and weighed 80 lbs and was told i was fat compared to my 15 yr old cousin who weighed the same. I guess that's when my weight stigma started. Throught out my life since then i have made efforts to be fit, but none permanent. Now at 32 and a mother of 2 young kids, I want to make a lifestyle change not just a temporary diet. I don't want to spend "quality time" with my kids only doing sedentary activities. I do not want to run out of breath when i try to chase them. I want to be healthy , I know i deserve it and that they deserve a happy healthy mommy. I want to change the bad habits in my life so that i do not pass them on to my children and then for them to struggle to be healthy the way my husband and i are. I want to instill in them now that they are young healthy habits, that will be one way of showing them how much i LOVE them. I started this journey early this month thankszto my husband who introduced me to spark people. Since then i have been reading The Spark and excercising at least 3 times a week, sometimes 3 times a day for at least 30 min. at a time. Since i"m also a kinder teacher the difficult part for me has been making the time to log onto the website to get motivation, post my accomplishments and relate to other s with the same challenges.I made a decision today to make time to help myself. Although i have my family and friends who have been very supportive with my workouts i realize i need more help. But it all has to start with me taking the steps to get it and there is no better time than the present. I only have 1 life, i will live it the best i can!

Eating less carbs. Excercising at least 5 times a week.
My Program:
I excercise at 5:30 am for 30 min. During my lunch for 20 min. And in the evening on the elleptical for 30 min (6 -8 miles )
