I've used SparkPeople off and on for seven years, but I have always let the excuses start to get in the way and have not made myself keep up with it, even if I get off my weight-loss track. But seven is my lucky number, so I've got a good feeling about this year! I still want to lose weight at a healthy rate, and I don't try to overdo it with my calories saved or burned. I am in this for the long run, but my short-term goal is to get to my healthy weight and peak fitness for my wedding and honeymoon! I want to eat healthy regularly, have more energy, feel great, and have an overall "bangin' bod."
Nutrition Goals: stay within the calorie range and MAKE HEALTHY CHOICES!
Exercise Goals: Visual Impact for Women 2-day-split + 12-week progressive cardio program, complete Jillian Michael's 30-Day Shred last month before wedding, work on doing at least one pull-up and the splits after back from honeymoon (to keep up with fitness after wedding!)
Spiritual Goals: BE A MORE POSITIVE, HAPPY PERSON DAILY!
Weight Goal: 2-lb. per week weight loss to achieve final goal weight of 120lbs. (or closest healthy weight my body will settle to between 120-130lbs) by my first wedding dress fitting
134 - DISCARD loose clothing and buy myself new workout clothes/shoes!
124 - DISCARD loose clothing and buy myself a new wardrobe! (has really been a while, so it's about TIME to look/feel good in clothes that flatter and FIT!)
123 - top end of "ideal" range for my height and frame size, buy myself a new dress for my bridal shower!
Nutrition: MEASURE EVERYTHING and get at least one fruit/veg and lean protein source in every meal
M: progressive cardio + Day 1 VI for Women strength
Tu: progressive cardio + Day 2 VI for Women strength

I'm originally from San Francisco, lived in San Diego for 4 years during undergrad (at UCSD), and then traveled to live in Florence, Italy, for 3 months in the Fall after graduation. I graduated from the Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies in Edinburgh, Scotland in July 2013 and now live in San Diego with my fiance, trying to find my first job. We got engaged after being together for 6 years in November 2011 and we will get married August 2014!

I'd love to be Spark buddies, I always need more motivation in my life to keep me on my goals! I think my track-record so far has shown that! Oops!

Thanks for noticing the fitness minutes. I am doing pretty well with maintaining a steady level of exercise, but I cannot seem to stick within my calorie ranges so the weight isn't coming off. I was hoping to be at least 5 pounds less for a trip I have coming up, but I am trying to stay positive with what I have been doing.
You are staying on spark after the move right? I am jealous!

So, I did ok at the beginning of the weekend, but I drank way too much. For the most part, I kept my food under control and I am trying to celebrate that success. I don't drink often, so when I do, I like to drink quite a bit. But even that was more moderate consumption (for me), so better than normal.
It was a beautiful weekend down there, huh?

So far Ive lost about 15 pounds. Its taken forever but Im starting to notice it and once I dropped a pants size and saw the inches difference I was super motivated! Lets hope I keep it up, I tend to yo-yo as well

Congrats on making 9500 fitness minutes!
And I have almost survived the weekend. Got in a great workout yesterday, and have been tracking food all day today.
