Hi. I'm 49 years old and a wife, mom and grandmom! My husband and I decided that a lifestyle change was in order January 2008. So far, he is down 75 pounds and I'm down 50. We love to stay active, lift weights, and run. We count our calories, measure our food and eat healthier. I love looking up recipes on line. Sparkpeople is a great web site. It has everything I'm looking for! Exercise tools, tips and recipes!
Three years ago, my husband and I have received our Certified Personal Trainer certifications. We are excited about helping people achieve their fitness goals. In September of 2009, we opened our own private training studio. We love our jobs!

YAY!!! I'm glad you're still around here. All's well. Has the gym been super busy? Seems like it would be "that" time of year.

I know I'm a couple days early, but I may not have time to post on the weekend, so...
~~ If only for today: smile a little more, sing a bit off key, laugh loudly and long, dance, skip, jump, play. Eat with your hands, hug every kind soul that crosses your path. Finger-paint, face-paint, body-paint. Do something brave. Squash a fear. Get out of your shell. Wear something sparkly. Be wild, be strong, be silly. For being foolish can make you happy but being happy will never make you a fool. ~~ Michelle

Happy Almost Spring!! This coming Tuesday marks the Spring Equinox and in preparation for the first day of the new season I would like to wish you a brand new start, never-ending moments of poise and balance and a joyful tip over on the scale to the side of light. I wish you a new dawn, an eternal youth and a morning star to wish on. Whatever battles you are fighting, whatever stresses may come your way, may they melt away with the winter and may you be granted a time of new light and a new life where your wildest dreams come true. ~ Michelle
"Celebrating the Spring Equinox: The spring equinox is one of the four great solar festivals of the year. Day and night are equal, poised and balanced, but about to tip over on the side of light. The spring equinox is sacred to dawn, youth, the morning star and the east. The Saxon goddess, Eostre (from whose name we get the direction East and the holiday Easter) is a dawn goddess, like Aurora and Eos. Just as the dawn is the time of new light, so the vernal equinox is the time of new life." - from http://www.schooloftheseasons.com/spring.h
