Start each day with a smile...And get it over with!!
Never take yourself too seriously, and mock those who do.
I used to have a handle on life--but it broke off!!

HELP!! I’m a secure, skinny extrovert, trapped in an inhibited, fat introvert’s body! In my times of being lower in weight, I am daring, spontaneous and fun! Being overweight holds me back…I dress frumpy and bland, so as not to call attention to myself. I avoid gatherings, almost to the point of being a hermit. I lose my self-confidence.
Like the saying, “Inside me lives a skinny woman crying to get out…But I can usually shut her up with cookies!” Well, no more cookies! In fact, I will embrace the voices in my head and befriend them! The more the merrier—I’ll take all the support I can get! In time, I will set that extrovert free!
This time, I AM NOT starting another diet. Instead, I am beginning a new “weigh” of life! I will make smart choices and develop healthy habits! No longer will a balanced diet mean a cookie in each hand!
Please post a comment of support, motivation, understanding or advice. If you need a little inspiration or incentive, let me know…It feels good to reach out and offer help—We’re in this together!! Besides, maybe if we pool our resources, we can figure out one of life’s greatest mysteries: Just how does a 2-pound box of candy make a person gain 5 pounds?!!
Looking forward to shedding pounds and sharing laughs! If exercise doesn't work, who knows, maybe we can laugh our butts off!!

I will embrace these hormonal changes and all the hairs that are appearing in unwelcome places. I will let all hairs grow until that desperate day of need. When that day comes, I will shave, pluck and wax my legs, armpits, eyebrows, upper lip, nostrils, chin--and wherever else. I figure that will make the scale drop enough for that needed motivation!!
I grew up on a farm in SW North Dakota, andnow reside in the Twin Cities of Minnesota. My husband and I live a nomadic lifestyle, working together for a Michigan company, on remote construction projects. We have 2 cat critters, Bobbie Sue and Ole--they allow us to live in the house with them!
Once I get comfortable around people, I turn into the "Bubbly One."
I always try to be the optimist, but weather tends to affect my mood when it's dreary--I really need my sunshine--winters are tough for me.
