You know, I keep asking myself what the American fascination for things British is really all about. Maybe it's because we hanker after a time when boundaries were a lot more clear cut in society (even ours here) than they are now. My son says no, that it has to do with our fascination for celebrities. But then he's young! LOL

Thank you so much for the welcome back. :) Looking forward to moving forward again. Hugs

Once I get the hang of balancing carbs and proteins, I do think it will be easy. The first eight weeks are very restrictive.

Thanks for reminding me of the diet option thingy. My daughter's friend's dad had a large cancer removed almost ten years ago and they put him on that diet. He is STILL alive and well. You never know how much credit you can give the diet, but it certainly must be playing a part in his on-going health. Thanks for your prayers, too.

Hey ! I think the Fitbit is a really cool fitness gadget that can help motivate people to become more active.

Personally, I wouldn't pay $99 for it though. It's just too much to pay for what is in effect, a pedometer. it tracks steps, distance, calories burned and stairs. the stairs aren't steps per se. What it measures is elevation. So, if you walk up hills, that counts as stairs.

You can upload the data into your computer and that will calculate how many calories you should eat, etc. I haven't heard of the jawbone. Will have to look at that. When I was talking to Liz, she said we was looking at buying the Fitbit bracelet. I guess they're coming out with a wrist version later this year.

I like the Fitbit. but because I'm already very active, I don't need it.
