APRIL CHALLENGE...So I have to return to my hometown in two months. I will be making home repairs with minimal remodeling so that I can put it up on the market. When I left 6 years ago, I was 140 lbs. I've got to get close to that weight in the next 2 months. It'll be WORK! It won't be easy. This IS DOABLE. Watch me....

THE TIME HAS COME, AND IT IS NOW.....IT'S TIME TO KEEP MOVING AND EATING HEALTHY FOR THE POW!
Last year turned out to be one very challenging year with many obstacles that I allowed to get in the way of my weight progress; however, I didn't give up. I may not have eaten as well as I should or could have, but I DID put forth the effort and energy to keep up a great fitness level. Additionally, I've acquired many new ideas for addressing the food challenges when you simply LOVE FOOD!
SPARK friends have really provided much interesting and possible ways and ideas for pushing oneself forward, addressing obstacles, defeating weaknesses, and simply allowing oneself the necessary treat such as chocolate, truffles, ice cream, etc., yet how to continue the weight loss progress for a fitter and healthier person.....the best you.

So, here I am ready to be the BEST ME YET! Please check in on me and provide me your support as I post my newest journey and yes.....I'm fretting about it (terribly), however, I believe this newest accountability tool is going to help push me to my personal best.....PHOTOS. Yes, I'm going to post weekly photos of my progress. I've got the tools that I didn't have in the past. These tools will help me see my personal progress as well as help me overcome challenges such as plateaus, food choices, life and work obstacles, etc. I've got a new phone and I've been working on it regularly and even tracking my food on it. Like I mentioned, this has been a learning year, nonetheless, working this new phone, getting a new camera (I should have purchased the phone first, duh!), etc. All of which are helpful tools for pushing for daily, yes daily progress! I can track my steps, workouts, food intake, make proper food choices, and not fret when I make improper food choices. Thanks for all the new ideas you've provided SPARKIES!

I"M READY TO MAKE THIS MY BEST YEAR YET!

Personal Information:
The time has come, the time is NOW! I've been moving, but missing the target somehow. Letting little obstacles get in the way and letting personal fitness progress go abay. This new year rings a new me; the BEST me, and I can't wait to see THE her she's meant to be.

Hey babe:)
Congrats on starting the month out with a BANG!!! I started it out with a rest day. LOL. Those 2005 fitness minutes from last month drained me. Not shooting for that much this month. Knocking out a workout tonight and may even take in a lunchtime walk:) Yep, on the water too!!!
We are killing this month:) Have a great day!

Thanks for reading and commenting on my blog.

I started a low carb lifestyle around the middle of June after reading a book called "Why we get fat" by Gary taubes. I found it very enlightening, then read as much as I could get my hands on and also joined some of the many Low carb teams here on SP.

My first blog on it is here;

http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public
_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4930553

If you read that and some of the subsequent ones, I lay out what I was going through. The reader's digest version is that for a day or 2, I "thought about" sugars & carbs a lot (including a weird dream about M&Ms), then tapered off.

The most dramatic physical part was working out. I hit the gym 5-6 days/week, doing ST 3x and cardio 2-3/x. I started sweating much more quickly and felt like my stamina was not up to par. By the time I posted the blog you responded to however, I was pretty much back to normal, and this past week have continued to set records on my ST and my cardio classes (I did a spin cycling this week) were tremendous...right back to normal.

Other than that, the only thing I suffered (and still do sometimes) is self-doubt if this way is really healthy or not, but I get plenty of support from like-minded SP friends and can point to tons of compliments I am getting about slimming down and looking great.

You may also want to check out a movie called "Fathead". It's a pretty funny, yet very informative movie, about eating Low Carb

Good luck!
