I'm a 30 yr old mother of 3 beautiful children. Wife to an awesome man for nearly 11yrs. And I am overweight. I just recently had my 3rd child March 2010. I'm back to my pre-pregnancy weight, but I'm still overweight. I nearly lost my life in late 2008 and my weight was one of the 3 contributing factors. My family deserves a happy healthy wife and mother and I'm going to give it to them. No excuses, no more failed attempts. I recently started working from home and that frees up a lot of time that I didn't have before. Now it's time to walk more workout more and live more.

My Goals:
I'd like to lose 40 lbs over the next 4 months and once I've accomplished that I'd like to go for another 40+ lbs. Ultimately I want to be healthier and closer to a more appropriate weight for my height and age so I have less health concerns.


My Program:
I just had my 3rd c-section less then 3 weeks ago, so baby steps for now. I'm going to start walking more over the next week and then gradually move to doing some classes and swimming maybe even take a spin class at some point in my journey.



Personal Information:
I am a nail tech. and stay at home mom.I love to spend time with my family and friends. I love my career and the life that I've been blessed with. I had a scare in November, the week of my 29th b-day I was hospitalized for blood clots on both of my lungs. It could have been fatal had I not gone into the emergency room. My doctor informed me that smoking and birth control(not a good mix) probably caused it but my weight didn't help matters. I don't want to die because I was too lazy to make the necessary changes in my life!


Other Information:
It's important for me to be happy and healthy for my family. I need to make this step for myself too and in the past I think I lost site of that simple fact.

    Miss doing-runs-like-her-husband :) How are you doing with this? I was on the bandwagon great since the 3rd, but fell off a few days early this week. But I'm back on it. Nothing to it but to try again. I'm telling you-by June 1st I will be down 30 lbs dammit! lol

    I wait a little to eat in the morning as well, but no more than an hour because you have to jumpstart your metabolism. I also have issues with my blood sugar so not eating is VERY bad! If you can start eating 5-6 times per day you will see a difference in your weight. You should journal your food here in the food tracker and it will help you see how many calories you are taking in. I am staying between 1400 and 1800 per day and it's not too hard if you are eating the right things. Many days I am under calories, which hinders my wt. loss (weird, huh?). You will be successful, girl! emoticon emoticon
