about 17 months ago, i joined spark people. it's been a wild ride...high points, low points, plateaus, craziness...i have learned a lot.
in the last 25 months, i dropped 103 lbs (have since gained 9 back), gone from a couch potato to running a half marathon, went from morbidly obese to "overweight." not much has changed in the weight area for a while, but a lot of good things have been happening in the head area, so that's good.

i quit tracking calories, because that kicked my anorexic side in big time, and under eating sabotaged my efforts. i've spent the last half year working to change my thinking about myself, as i've continued my journey. i did great until the snow and ice came...my long hikes and outdoor activities came to a screeching halt, between that and a couple of challenging months physically and emotionally, i put on a few pounds. i'm feeling much better, now, and i'm so excited to be moving again!
it's a huge step of faith...but i know that God will be with me, and i will be reasonable.

Thank you for commenting on my blog about my husband. You are an inspiration when I heard you ran your first half marathon at 52. I want to start running again and would appreciate any info or support you can give me.
