Making a difference

I'm a recent college grad who's about to move down South. I love me some comfort food, so I'm trying to make lifestyle changes and gain some self-restraint before I move down! My biggest goals are to find good food that's good for me, increase my cardio endurance, and lose a crap ton of weight the right way!

My Goals:
1) My goal weight loss is 70 pounds.
2) A goal of mine has always been to run a 5k.
3) I want to incorporate a larger variety of foods into my diet, reduce my intake of processed foods, and become an amazing cook!
4) Lastly, I want to inspire those around me (especially my family) to make changes as well!

My Program:
To meet these, I have been:

1) Doing Jillian Michael's 30-day shred. I really love it!
2) Doing the Couch to 5K program. Since you gradually increase your running, you learn to run without pushing yourself too hard (which is why I always hated running, I was doing it wrong!)
3) Trying a new food item every week and cutting out fast food.
4) Sharing my successes with my family and letting them know what they can do to help me!

Yay! Welcome to Spark People! I hope you love this site and program as much as I do. Even though it's a line from AA I believe...it works if you work it. Hope you're having a great summer!
