Hi, I plan to live to 120, but my eating and exercise habits are not in line with my plan. I wonder if Sparkpeople can help me. I need to lose weight, eat right, and develop an exercise plan. I'd like to see the little person in the picture (my great-granddaughter) grow up and have her own children.

"One of the most difficult parts of changing how you live and how you eat is believing that change is possible.
We all say we believe that, but many of us, deep down in our hearts believe that it's possible for other people, but not for us.
That other people can do it, that the glowy warm life we imagine is for other people, not for us.
We have an unconscious belief that we can't do it, it's hopeless, and so, on some level, we stop making an effort.
We lapse into the way it always was or is. But change really is possible.
And it really does take a fierce kind of longing, and a fierce kind of love for yourself.
For the life you know is possible. Ask yourself what you love most of all.
Do you love your life? And are you willing to take action on your own behalf?"

TGIF, Sparkfriend! I hope your week was a good one and that you're ready for a fit, fun and fantastically healthy weekend! Keep your goals in mind and keep taking steps towards them. Remind yourself that you are capable...and love yourself enough to know that you are worth the effort!

Thank you sooooooooooooooo much for the goodie! I am so excited, but I will say, I get a little too excited with celebrating, and I had to remind myself this is just a fun milestone, it isn't the end of the journey... and more importantly there is no end to this journey... so I am pushing away and continuing on the path to a healthier me! emoticon emoticon

“In terms of days and moments lived, you’ll never again be as young as you are right now, so spend this day, the youth of your future, in a way that deflects regret. Invest in yourself. Have some fun. Do something important. Love somebody extra. In one sense, you’re just a kid, but a kid with enough years on her to know that every day is priceless."

Thanks so much my friend! My body really enjoyed 205 for some reason... I was 205 for about 2 years when I was 19-20, and didn't gain weight from there for a while. I think my body has fond memories of 205, but I on the other hand do not! Looking forward to posting a loss this Wednesday, might be .2, .4, but I will absolutely take what I can get! How are things going over there? emoticon
