For the long term...

I lost 15 pounds with SparkPeople in 2011. After gaining 20 pounds on 2012 and having chest pain and high cholesterol, I renewed my dedication to losing weight. I lost 30 pounds using a modified Mayo Clinic diet plan in 2013. I gained 25 pounds back in 2014, even though I maintained a healthy diet. :( I want to lose that weight again and figure out how to KEEP IT OFF!

My Goals:
Lose 1-2 pounds a week.

My Program:
Diet:
Eat half, by volume, fruits and veggies, preferably raw.
Limit calories to 1200-1300 per day. (8 servings fruit & veg and 8 servings carb & protein)
Limit added sugar.

Exercise:
At least 30 minutes everyday.
Get outside everyday.
No more than 2 hours screen time everyday (not including ebooks).

Love your goals! And also your tips. Yours is the first page I have wanted to check out, and lo, there was a photo of you on a bike trip in France! I love France, am working hard on my French, and wanting to spend more time there after I retire. Best of luck with your goals and have fun taking care of your lovely bebe! emoticon

Welcome to SP! I noticed your goals/rewards on a message board and found them similar to my own. I have three boys and breastfed them all. I was fortunate to be an at-home mom during their early years and it was then when I discovered a walking routine that I still keep up ten years later. I had my boys approx. two years apart and I invested in a jogger stroller with each birth. Yes by the time my third son was born, I was walking through the neighborhood with a triple jogger stroller. Oh the stares I received because it was such a novelty.
So use this precious time with your sweet baby by making her a part of your workout routine. Babies also make great arm/leg weights. They so enjoy the bonding and feeling of being extended in air with a firm grip.

It's good to see and meet you here on Gardening team.... Good luck on your goal(s) and I'm here if you need help on this site. Take care and talk to you soon. Stay focused and have a positive attitude will help. I'm here to keep you encouraged and to be supportive.

To STAY MOTIVATED I DO THIS ALL THE TIME:::
1) come in, read the posts, and do your postings
2) read, join any teams that you think you like, go to My Spark Points (click there) and spin the wheel, (that is where you go everyday to start with those points)
3) get it know the people and make new friendships
4) read some article.... (you make points reading these too)
5) make yourself to exercise like walking, jogging, or whatever you would like to do
6) most of all :: have fun and enjoy yourself

If there is anything that I can do to help, give me a holler. If I do not know the answer, I will find it. Our leaders are really great and help when you need it too. So don't hesitate to ask. That is why we are here ...I'm a single Mom of 3 grown sons......

Its lovely to have you join us on the 10,000 Steps a Day Team. You have a tiny baby so its no wonder you are tired. But its ok, you can walk anywhere - even on the spot!! So stay with us and we'll have you laughing all the way to your wardrobe! You can do this my dear and what a lovely inspiration - for another child!
