New and Improved

I was 152 when I got my license before MSMS, and I was 152 when I graduated. I've done some small diets. I started Spark at 157 when I got engaged in Feb 2007. I stopped in June when I was 152. I started Spark again in late October 2007 and checked in at ... 153.

I was trying and getting no where. And then that one scary up. My top reccommended "Normal" BMI is 140lbs. I want to be five pounds into that healthy range.

My Goals:
1) I want to feel comfortable in all my clothes.

2) I want to feel beautiful at my wedding. Prettier than anyone in the room.

3) I want to feel sexy on my honeymoon.

My Program:
Walk 3mi/45min on weekdays (243cal) and bike 14mi on weekends (672cal).

I want a calorie deficit of 3500 each week.

(BMR of 1850)

Buy scales=Just did that!: )

Personal Information:
Wedding - May 25, 2008

First Baby - 2010

My father is obese and has diabetes. My mother is shorter than me and now over 300lbs. I'm 5'3" so 20lbs is like three sizes up (or down) for me.

Other Information:
I graduated with my BA in May 2007, and moved in with AMSCIPIO.

I worked my college PT job for a while, feeling out my new FT job, which required me to bike 16mi/wk, and waitressing is a WAY MORE active job than my FT. I quit the PT in August and now only work 40hrs/wk... sitting in a desk. It's made it harder.

I've cut back on my drinking, though.

I just need the determination of my youth.

How nice to get a pedicure from you! What a surprise.

I fear my September won't match my August but who cares? I am still losing.

Thanks again, it really is wonderful of you,
Love,
Linda

Hi! Saw your pancake recipe - you can give them a nutrition boost by adding some flaxseed meal. You won't even know its in there and it really boosts the fiber!

Thank you for my medal!!

Once I knew how to bank calories it really wasn't difficult. I was given a pedometer and you can see the results, lol.

August has been an incredible month for sure!

Are you feeling any better after your binge?

Thanks again,
Hugs,
Linda

There's a lot to do in downtown Portland...what do you enjoy doing? There are so many different things to do that appeal to different interests. Here are a couple of ideas: Powell's Books (if you're into books/reading), awesome local restaurants (Portland City Grill) Bars and Dancing (Henry's Tavern, Aura, the Fez), Shopping (Pioneer Place and places on NW 23rd), concert and theatre venues (Artists Repertory Theatre), art galleries, and more. During the summer, the waterfront has a ton of festivals for different occassions. You can also go to the Pearl District which has great restaurants and boutiques.

I hope you enjoy Portland! Have a safe and wonderful trip!

Thanks for the Sparkgoody and kind words! It's always a struggle and I've had my up times and my down times.. but I find if you just stick to it 80% of the time (for me, it's generally 80% of the year.. lol), it all adds up!
Keep up the good work! Feel free to message me if you ever want to talk!
