WHATEVER IT TAKES!!!
So, it's 2011 and time for an update. I met a lot of fitness goals in 2010. I did a 5-mile trail run, a race up 52 flights of stairs inside a high-rise building, 2 bike rides of 30 miles and 49 miles, a 10k, and a sprint triathlon. Unfortunately, I did all of these without any real discipline or training. That leaves me feeling proud of myself for at least doing the races I wanted to do but disappointed knowing that I could have done them a lot better, if I had trained. What I need this ...
So, it's 2011 and time for an update. I met a lot of fitness goals in 2010. Unfortunately, I did all of these without any real discipline or training. That leaves me feeling proud of myself for at least doing the races I wanted to do but disappointed knowing that I could have done them a lot better, if I had trained. What I need this year is to push myself. To really work on inceasing speed and being consistent. That is what will really make me proud of myself. I don't know how many races I'll get to do because my husband is unemployed, so spending money on registrations is not in the cards right now but that doesn't stop me from racing myself on my own routes and seeing improvements. Then, when he is working again, I'll get to do the races knowing that I'll do better. On a side note, I'll also be finishing my Master's degree in May, 2011. I'm looking forward to having that done and not taking up any more of my time!

My Program:
After a crazy knee injury and surgery, I had to go through physical therapy for months. That really got me back into running and feeding my competitive side. So I'm exercising, trying to eat less and better foods.
